Squadron Info About the Squadron
Arnold Air Society is a professional, honorary, service organization advocating the support of aerospace power. Staffelbach Squadron, of San Jose State University's AFROTC Detachment 045, is one of the many AAS Squadrons throughout the nation. We are actively engaged in serving the campus, community, and officer commissioning programs. From providing execptional leadership training to Air Force Officer Candidates, to serving the community through organized means such as Adopt-a-Park and Second Harvest, and joint efforts with Silver Wings, American Legion, and more.

About Silver Wings About the Silver Wings Chapter
As specified in the Silver Wings National Constitution, Silver Wings (SW) is a national, co-ed, professional organization dedicated to creating proactive, knowledgeable, and effective civic leaders through community service and education about national defense.
Silver Wings’ predecessor organization, Angel Flight, had a specific objective of supporting the mission of Arnold Air Society. While this is no longer explicitly stated, Silver Wings remains committed to developing strong civilian leaders with an understanding of aerospace power–and obviously, the continuing partnership between AAS and SW is critical to building this understanding.

Arnold Air's and Silver Wing's main roles are as service organizations. Each year, our squadron and chapter each put in hundreds of man hours providing aide to the community. Recently, we've run a toy drive, been involved in Safe Green Halloween, worked with the Second Harvest Food Bank, continued to maintain our adopted park: O'Donnels Gardens Park , executed a POW/MIA Awareness Run, participated in Clean-a-Creek, and much more.
